Course Fees

A non-refundable deposit of £1,000 towards your course fees must be paid to secure your place on the course. We advise all applicants to pay the deposit either online, by clicking on the link sent to you with your acceptance email on our secure payment gateway, or by phoning the office to avoid disappointment, as places fill up very quickly.

The balance of your course fees must be paid in full at the latest, four weeks before the course starts. Failure to pay the outstanding balance in this time will result in a loss of deposit and your place on the course.

Your unconditional acceptance letter confirming your enrolment on the course will not be issued until full payment of course fees has been received. Course fees include VAT (UK GOVERNMENT TAX) at the current rate of 20%. The London College of Style certificate of VAT registration number is 015812149. Applicants should be aware that they will be unable to start the course, even if they have paid their deposit unless the required fees are paid in full.

In order to complete your booking, you must pay the tuition fee in full, via the online payment system. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions, and your place on the course cannot be guaranteed until full payment is received. All course fees quoted are inclusive of VAT (UK GOVERNMENT TAX) at the current rate of 20%. The London College of Style certificate of VAT registration number is 015812149.

Method of Payment

Course fees can be paid by bank transfer or credit/debit card via our secure online payment gateway. We can only accept pounds sterling. Further information about how to pay will be given to students when they confirm their acceptance of our offer with payment of the course deposit. Whereby, they will be issued a final invoice for their remaining tuition fee.

Refund Policy, Withdrawals and Non-Attendance

If you wish to withdraw from your course, your request should be made in writing.

If your written request to withdraw is received more than six weeks before the start of the course, you will be entitled to a full refund, minus the non-refundable deposit. If cancellation occurs at any time thereafter, no part of the course fee will be refunded.

Should any prospective international student’s Visa application be refused for any reason, the College will refund the fees paid (less any deposit) only if all compliance checks have been satisfactorily completed. These compliance checks are communicated to all prospective international students as part of their application process (CAS Student Checklist).
The deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances.

Note: if you are paying in instalments, the same policy applies in regard to full course payment. The complete course fee must be received in full, four weeks prior to the start of your course. If your written request to withdraw is received more than six weeks before the start of the term, you will be entitled to a full refund (or if you have not paid, you are not liable to pay the fee for the upcoming term). If cancellation occurs at any time thereafter, no part of the term fee will be refunded.

You have the right to cancel your booking within 14 days of booking and making the payment in accordance with our terms and conditions. Thereafter, you are not entitled to a refund.

All Courses:

Non-attendance due to illness, or for personal or professional reasons, does not entitle any student or prospective student to refunds or transfer.

Deferred entry is normally only allowed in exceptional circumstances and is not permitted for students on the One Day, Three Day, One Week, all E-Learning Courses and LCS Summer School. For all other courses, please contact us before you submit your application if you are considering applying for deferred entry. We permit accepted students (who have been approved for a deferred entry) to defer one time only, and it must be for a course that starts within a year from the time of the original course. Any deferment is subject to course increases; therefore, the student will be liable to pay any difference between their original course fee and the chosen deferred course fee at time of rebooking.

Minimum Age Requirements

For all courses we cannot accept applications from students who will not be 18 years of age by the start of their course. By submitting your application, you agree that you will be 18 by the start of the course. If this proves to be incorrect, we may terminate our agreement with you, and you will not be entitled to a refund.

Visas for Studying in the UK

If you do not hold a UK/EU/EEA passport, you will need to obtain a visa that allows you to study here in order to take one of our courses. For information please see the Home Office website.

It is your responsibility to determine how far in advance you need to apply for a visa, and to allow for enough time to obtain a visa. You will not be permitted to start the course if you do not have a visa that allows you to study, and in such instance, will not be eligible for any refund of your course fees. We may be able to defer you to a later course, though there is no guarantee and will be at the college’s discretion.

Before we can issue your unconditional acceptance letter and confirm your place on the course, you will need to send in a scan of your passport and visa to the Admissions team, so we have copies of your documents for our records. On arrival at the London College of Style campus, you will need to present your passport and visa to reception for us to double check with the scan we have on file.

Please ensure that your place on the course is confirmed before making any travel, visa and accommodation arrangements.

Non-UK/EEA students are required to have adequate health, accident, disability, and hospitalisation insurance to cover themselves during their time at the College.

Students recognise and accept that no part of the course fee goes toward payment of such insurance and that the College has no obligation to provide such insurance.

Cancellation & Charges

The College reserves the right to cancel any courses prior to the commencement of the course at its discretion if the number of members enrolled on the course, or other unexpected circumstances might (in the opinion of the College) compromise the standards pursued by the College. The communication of any such cancellation will be given at least two weeks (14 days) before the scheduled commencement of the course without any liability on the part of the College, save that any course fees already paid will be entirely refunded.

Courses are organised according to the schedules, dates and programmes established by the College direction from time-to-time. The College reserves the right, at any time, to amend any aspect of the courses as it may be necessary.

Appeals Procedure for Rejected Applications

The London College of Style Admissions Team reserves the right to reject an application if they deem the student is unsuitable for admission on to a particular course. Individuals whose application has been rejected are welcome to appeal by formally writing to the Admissions Team and requesting that their application be re-reviewed. A second Admissions Team (consisting of senior academic staff) will then review the application for a second time and come to a decision. Students who have been rejected are permitted to apply for other courses, but they are only permitted to appeal their application for any single course once.

Student Conduct

Students are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner and to recognise that other students also require support and assistance.

If a student becomes persistently disruptive, we reserve the right to issue a verbal or written warning and, if this does not resolve the situation, we may, at our discretion, require the student to leave the course. In such circumstances no refund of any course fees will be due.

By enrolling on any course offered by the College, students agree to comply fully with the disciplinary rules of the College. In addition to compliance with the disciplinary rules of the College, we require that students maintain a good attendance record, a rigorous respect of the schedule of lessons and a responsible attitude towards the College staff and facilities. Failure to adhere fully to these rules may result in disciplinary measures being taken against the offending student.

Students understand that should they have legal or medical problems while they are enrolled at the College, they will attend to the matter personally and with their own funds. They accept that the College will not provide any personal or financial assistance.

Conditional Acceptance

A student’s place will be subject to the student meeting any offer conditions that the College shall notify to the student in writing such as obtaining particular qualifications and/or satisfying all necessary legal and other requirements to study in the United Kingdom on the chosen course (for example in relation to health checks and immigration clearance).

Force Majeure

The College shall not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance, in whole or part, of any of their obligations arising from or attributable to acts, events, omissions or accidents beyond their reasonable control including, but not limited to strikes, lock-outs or other industrial disputes (whether involving our workforce or the workforce of any other party), acts of God, war, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage, compliance with any law or governmental order, rule regulation or direction, accident, breakdown of plant or machinery, fire, flood, storm, pandemics, epidemics or other outbreaks of disease or infection, failure in the public supply of electricity, heating, lighting, air conditioning or telecommunications equipment.
