Contact Information

When you apply for a course or use one of our services, such as signing up to our email newsletter or joining one of our online communities, we will ask you to provide information such as your name, email and/or postal address so that we can provide you with the services requested.


General Personal Information

When applying for a course, in addition to contact information, we may collect other personal information such as your gender, date of birth, marital status, etc.


Payment Details

When you pay for a course we will also ask you for your payment details in addition to your contact information, in order to secure payment and to authorise access to the course.


Third-Party Identifiers

When you apply or are onboarded to one of our courses, either directly on the London College of Style website, we will collect your emergency contact details, in case of an emergency while you are with us.


Official Identifiers

When you apply or are onboarded to one of our courses, either directly on the London College of Style website, we will collect information such as passport number or national insurance number in order to verify the details given.



We may also automatically process the information you give during applications for our short courses, so we can allocate places accordingly.


Behavioural Data

When you register for a newsletter, so we can send you the right information for you, we collect data about your preferences, tastes and interests.


Human Resources

When you apply for one of our courses, we will collect information on your previous work experience to assess your application.

For example, when you are successful in an application to a course, academic assessment on the course or using our careers management service – LCS Connect.

For example, we can pass on details of people involved in fraud or other criminal activity affecting us to law enforcement.

For example, when you apply for one of our courses, we will assess the information given to select future students.

Service Providers

We work with service providers to perform some tasks on our behalf. This might include: payments, website function, academic evaluation etc, and we may share your personal data with these providers to perform the necessary tasks. However, they are obliged not to disclose or use it for any other purposes. Law Enforcement Organisations

Under certain circumstances we may occasionally be required by law, court order or governmental authority to disclose certain types of personal information and we reserve the right to comply with any such legally binding request.


Potential Employers

As part of our careers management service – LCS Connect, we may pass on your information with potential future employers. We will only do this if you have expressed interest in the role being advertised with the college and we have your permission.


How long will we keep data?

We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the individual service/s you have requested, while taking into account any legal requirements and tax and accounting rules.


Where you sign up to receive email newsletters from us we will retain your e-mail address after you ‘opt-out’ of receiving emails to ensure that we continue to honour and respect that request. To unsubscribe from emails at any time, please click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email and update your account preferences.

This Website has security measures in place to protect against loss, misuse and alteration of your personal information under London College of Style’s control. However, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure and whilst London College of Style strives to protect your personal information, London College of Style cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk. Once London College of Style receives the transmission, London College of Style makes best efforts to ensure the security on the system.


Cross-border Transfers and Security

We make sure that we have appropriate security measures to protect your information and make sure that, when we ask another organisation to provide a service for us, they have appropriate security measures and follow the same high standards of security and data protection as we do.


If we or our service providers transfer any information out of the European Economic Area (EEA), it will only be done with the relevant protection (stated under UK law) being in place.
