One of a Kind

One of a Kind

I was very excited and privileged to be given a ticket to see the One of a Kind LFW Men’s One of a Kind show at St James London with The London College of Style.

It was such an amazing experience from start to finish! I met up with the lovely Jacq Weber (The Wardrobe Girl) who is also a Personal Styling graduate LCS, like me. We both studied the Personal Styling Diploma at different times, so the event provided a great platform for LCS grads to connect.

We arrived about 15 minutes prior to the show so that we could soak up the atmosphere. And what an atmosphere it was! Jermyn Street looked incredible. The street had been lined in festive Union Jacks and looked very patriotic! Well, you can’t get a street in London that is more quintessentially British than Jermyn Street!!!

From the moment we arrived the celebrity spotting started! As the One of a Kind Fashion show was small and intimate, we were able to sit right at the front and our view of the show and all the people arriving couldn’t have been better. Jacq and I were lucky enough to spot amongst others: David Gandy; Johannes Huebl; Richard Biedul and Dougie Lee Poynter (of McFly fame but who also has a fashion career as a model and fashion designer).

The One of a Kind Fashion show encompassed a lot of brands, all in the local area and it was a ‘See Now Buy Now Fashion Show’. This means when the show finishes, you can shop the looks from the runway. We were given a list of all the looks and the corresponding brands.

The Fashion Show was – really wearable, clean looking and very ‘Brit’ inspired looks. Some of the brands included: Connolly, Benson & Clegg, Charles Tyrwhitt, Emma Willis, Barbour International, Jigsaw Emporium, Aquascutum to name a few.

It was a brilliant morning, I loved every minute of it. Thank you to the London College of Style for another industry-linked opportunity.
