L SAHA – LFW SS19

Laboni SAHA has once again outdone herself. The Spring/Summer 2019 collection, showcased at London Fashion Week, was inspired by the profound beauty and diversity of the marine world and its importance to the global ecosystem.

THE COLLECTION

L SAHA translates her observation of sea, waves, marine animals, its flora and fauna into a collection of versatile womenswear aimed at the empowered and independent women across the globe.
The designer’s choice of silk, satin and organza create fluid silhouettes in delicate colours.

THE SHOW

The catwalk show stood out by choosing a live music act “Siren” performed by Tatyana Phillips, an award winning harpist. The beautiful sound of a harp made the whole experience somewhat dream-like and was the perfect addition to the marine inspired collection.

Fundraising for Tusk Trust during the event, L SAHA is dedicated to supporting and protecting wildlife as well as helping communities and promoting education throughout Africa.

Overall, I really enjoyed the event and the collection and I’m very grateful to LCS for this wonderful opportunity!
