Julien MacDonald AW16

Julien MacDonald AW16

On Saturday I had the pleasure of working backstage at the Julien MacDonald AW16 London Fashion Week Show. This was an industry opportunity given to me by the London College of Style as part of my training on the Fashion & Personal Styling Foundation Diploma, and the LCS student team were exclusive dressers for the show. Inspiring and intense are two words to sum up the atmosphere backstage. The collection was as glitzy and glamorous as you would expect from Julien, and the anticipation for the show could be felt all around. The final show stopping ‘Bridal’ piece was absolutely breath taking to see in person, and I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to view it up close. A surprise element to the show was his unveiling of his new kids wear range called ‘Smile’ which will be a collaboration with Mothercare.

All I can say is that Julien MacDonald just keeps on getting better and I am so glad I was able to be a part of the show.
