Can I start my learning immediately?
LCS offers set start dates for this course training because the course is designed to be highly interactive with other stylists in training and your tutors too. Your tutor team will warmly welcome you to series of weekly live Masterclasses as well as offering plenty of opportunity for questions and individual feedback on a weekly basis to chat your progress. Please check your course start date before enrolling. You’ll typically receive early access to the LCS Learning Portal, Google Classroom, and WhatsApp community group a week before your course begins.
What is the LCS community like?
The LCS Community is a super welcoming and vibrant learning community. We provide a friendly, supportive environment designed to enrich your learning as you share ideas, your assignments, receive feedback, and overcome challenges alongside other students. You’ll interact weekly with tutors, meet with other personal stylists online for friendly chat and collaboration, and join group discussions to ask questions, gain insights, and track your progress.
Will my learning experience be interactive including LCS experts and fellow personal stylists in training?
Your learning experience is highly interactive! We are firm believers in personalised, group-based learning where you share ideas as you learn from each other. Tutors will engage you in live weekly masterclasses with one key topic per class. You will also be introduced to successful LCS trained Personal Stylists who will join you for live Q&A sessions where all your questions around their professional journey will be answered.

Is this course training only theory or is it practically based putting into practice all learnt?
This course is highly practically based in line with the professional role of the personal stylist. Practical challenges are set each week to embody learning, with personalised feedback from your tutors and plenty of opportunity to ask additional questions to support you. You’ll never feel alone as you also consistently connect with other stylists in training across the practical elements of training for collaboration and to discuss ideas as you learn and support each other.
Can I keep the recordings, Google Classroom access, and learning materials after I’ve trained?
All masterclasses are recorded so if you miss one, you can catch up at a time to suit you. Google Classroom stays open for up to a year after your course ends, and you can download all materials to keep. You’ll also have lifetime access to the LCS Learning Platform, including templates, downloads, and resources, which are regularly updated.
Can I pay in instalments, or do I have to pay the full fee upfront?

Does this training lead to qualified status as an accredited LCS Personal Stylist?
This training does lead to qualified status as an accredited LCS trained Personal Stylist. You will complete the course as a qualified, accredited LCS Personal Stylist, enabling you to offer professional personal styling services. You can join the LCS Talent Directory where we will market your business visibility, and potential client opportunities.
Once I complete my course training is there an opportunity to remain in the community for friendship, collaboration, and business support?
At LCS beyond training, we recognise you may want to continue to be part of our community to access a host of stylist friends and ongoing expert support. You can join our monthly LCS Community Membership which includes 2 live Q&A sessions per month where you ask questions and we provide solutions around a selection of sticking points: business launch, how to gain more paying clients, how to develop your profile, how to run events etc. You will also receive invitations to exciting social fashion industry events and industry brand pop ups where you get to view collections and meet brand founders, as well as mastermind meet ups focused on a range of topics all designed to help you grow as a confident professional.
Will I need my own practice clients?
Yes, you’ll be asked to find two practice clients to complete your practical practice as part of your learning. You can also ask other students in your group to take the role of practice client.
How long is the course?
This is an eight-week course, with one module unlocking each week. You’ll complete your practice client assignments between weeks five and seven and your final assessment in week eight. Please note, the course is designed to be paced your tutor team will lead you through—you cannot fast-track it—but you will have lifetime access to revisit all materials.
What materials will I need to complete the course?
You’ll need basic tech (a laptop or tablet is best) and access to tools like Canva, Pinterest which are free and your tutors will advise you on this, and Word/Google Docs.
How much time should I dedicate each week?
We recommend 3–4 hours per week to complete the weekly module, including video content, live challenges, and assessments.
How will I know I’m making progress?
The course is structured into weekly modules with interactive challenges, quizzes, and practical assignments. Tutors provide personalised feedback via voice note for valuable conversation points for you to celebrate your progress and identify areas for growth, building your confidence each week. You can ask additional questions to deep dive your feedback with pleasure at any point to be clear on how to progress most effectively to make the most of your learning experience.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment includes short quizzes, practical assignments, and a final practical practice client led assessment. You’ll receive a Pass, Merit, or Distinction achievement based on your overall performance.
Will I receive a recognised qualification?
You will receive two certificates upon completion:
- An Accredited Diploma Certificate from London College of Style (LCS)
- CPD Certification awarding you 40 CPD training hours, recognised by employers and industry professionals
What are the technical requirements for the course?
For the best experience, use a laptop or tablet. A larger screen makes it easier to view materials. You’ll also need access to tools like Word/Google Docs, Canva, and Pinterest which are both free.
