Interior Colour Trends 2026

What Colour Trends will we see next year?

LCS Shares our Interior Design Trend Predictions for 2026

Wondering which colours to work into your interior projects next year—living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, even bathrooms? Here’s the latest scoop on 2026 colour trends from LCS. You might know Pantone from fashion, but interiors lean on practical references too, so we’re sharing copy-and-paste HEX codes for design projects at the digital stage, plus nearest RAL equivalents (widely used in interiors and paint specification). Check these out at:

These colour predictions were produced by Senior Tutor & interior designer Aless Clifton, who teaches on the Interior Design Residential Diploma at the London College of Style. Meet Aless on the course—she’ll guide you through using colour systems (RAL, Pantone and more), how to specify paint accurately, match across materials, and design with mood and colour psychology, and more!

RAL notes: these are nearest matches to the fixed RAL palette. Always check a physical fan deck under your project lighting.

Deep Cornflower

HEX: #8aadce
Equivalent RAL: RAL 5024 – Pastel blue
Why it works: A grey-toned cornflower—paler than periwinkle, lighter than indigo—bringing that mindfully calming, “dusky sky” feel. Pair with creamy whites, pale oak and matte black details.

Warm Grey

HEX: #b1a799
Equivalent RAL: RAL 1019 – Grey beige
Why it works: A softened grey with a whisper of blue-green that warms modern schemes without going yellow. Great for cabinetry, bathrooms and panelling; effortless with aged brass and limestone.

Creamy White

HEX: #f1ece4
Equivalent RAL: RAL 9001 – Cream
Why it works: A soft, milky neutral that brings warmth and light, taking the edge off stark contemporary spaces. Ideal whole-home backdrop with natural stone and pale timbers.

Edwardian Mustard

HEX: #e7b317
Equivalent RAL: RAL 1005 – Honey yellow
Why it works: An opulent, earthy yellow with heritage charm and timeless depth. Beautiful on library walls, dining rooms or a statement ceiling; anchors brilliantly against inky blues and olive greens.

Earthy Moss

HEX: #4c5349
Equivalent RAL: RAL 7009 – Green grey
Why it works: A muted, organic green with grounded depth—rich and natural. Luxe with tobacco leather, burnished brass and linen; calming and cocooning for bedrooms and snug spaces.

Sunbaked Clay

HEX: #9fabac
Equivalent RAL: RAL 7040 – Window grey
Why it works: An earthen blue-grey clay: architectural, quietly sophisticated and easy to live with. Lift with burnt terracotta or fire-orange textiles, or keep it tonal with foggy blues.

Dusky Plum

HEX: #5d2036
Equivalent RAL: RAL 4004 – Claret violet
Why it works: A rich, autumnal purple with mauve undertones—moody, decadent and dramatic. Perfect for powder rooms, dining nooks and statement joinery; sings with antique brass and alabaster.

Magenta

HEX: #bc2885
Equivalent RAL: RAL 4010 – Telemagenta
Why it works: A bold red-meets-purple that radiates creative energy. Try a lacquered door, a feature wall or upholstery accent against warm neutrals and walnut.

Pale Indigo

HEX: #364773
Equivalent RAL: RAL 5000 – Violet blue
Why it works: A moody, atmospheric blue with subtle violet undertones that feels tranquil and dreamy. Fantastic for panelling and snug living rooms; pair with Creamy White trims, aged brass and soft charcoal for depth.

Gold Leaf (Artisanal Finish)

HEX: n/a — this is actual gold leaf / specialist metallic paint
Equivalent RAL: Metallic paint alternative: RAL 1036 – Pearl gold (RAL Effect range).
Non-metallic Classic substitute: RAL 1004 – Golden yellow (for a flat paint look).
Why it works: Real leafing or specialist artisanal paintwork that brings opulence, radiant warmth and a touch of artistic bohemianism. Best used as an accent—friezes, stair details, ceiling motifs—against deep greens, charcoals or plum tones.
