Aless Clifton

Hello, I’m Aless, an interior designer driven by a passion for colour, natural materials, and functional design. I studied Fine Art at university, where I found myself creating interactive built environments, so I believe it is this along with my inherited love of architecture and appreciation for textiles that ultimately led me to a design career.

Having developed my skills within a reputable South Coast company, I have a wealth of experience in designing private residences, show homes, and commercial spaces nationwide. I’m honoured to have designed some iconic properties on the prestigious Sandbanks peninsula as well as working with a number of the UK’s best housebuilders on high end apartments in the capital and incredible developments in the home counties. Throughout my career, as my roles have developed, I’ve always enjoyed mentoring graduate students in the early stages of their careers and training new designers, it’s this along with a desire to share knowledge that led me to teaching.

In 2022, I left my senior role and, after a brief time with a commercial design and build company, started Studio Trevow. Since then, I’ve grown the business by designing country homes and clifftop apartments for local developers, as well as collaborating with investors on serviced accommodation and HMO properties. Perhaps my most exciting work has been creating branded, customer-focused spaces for various businesses and a NHS-supported well-being space. I’m passionate about sharing my industry knowledge and experience with LCS students, helping to inspire and prepare the next generation of interior designers with the practical skills needed for real-life scenarios.
