Hello, my name is Daria, and I am a London based Fashion Stylist who likes to experiment with textures, silhouettes, shapes and colours.
Just a year ago I was working my nine to five corporate job, felt extremely unhappy and didn’t see any way out of that. I quit my sales job, having no clue what my next career move will be. I was always passionate about fashion but was convinced that if you didn’t have a university degree in fashion, you would never be able to succeed. Little did I know…
I obtained an Advanced Diploma in Personal and Fashion Styling from the London College of Style in 2021. It took me less than nine months to build a strong portfolio of fashion editorial work using the industry knowledge that the college shared with the students.
Whilst still being a student, I teamed up with my good friend and a classmate Yal Keenan to discuss some of the fashion concepts we had in mind. We started looking for photographers who would be interested to work on our ideas and before we knew it, we were shooting on set with renowned photographers such as Yoshitaka Kono, Ekin Can Bayrakdar and Zuzu Valla. Our works have been published in a number of fashion magazines including MOD and L’Officiel Baltic and Kaltblut.
The college has also provided invaluable job experiences that would have been incredibly difficult to find and take part in on my own.
Fashion industry is tough but if this is what you are passionate about and are prepared to work hard to achieve your dreams, then the sky will be your limit!
