My my name is Ade.
I am an emerging fashion photographer and now shoot models with leading London agencies, magazines and backstage at London fashion week.
My professional career is just beginning and I can trace it back to my training and post-study mentoring received by the London College of Style training.
I came to photography at LCS not as a complete beginner, but almost. I had never completed a professional training or qualification before. Id bought my Canon some years ago and mostly had taken photos of friends and family, learning from Youtube videos and a few online short courses. I felt like I had the eye for photography and was able to take some pretty cool shots myself, but I lacked a deeper understanding of technique, and how to achieve certain effects and results that I wanted to achieve but somehow struggled to get.
It wasn’t until I spoke to a member of the LCS photography team that I know what I really needed learn and how to develop my work. LCS got me into the fashion industry almost immediately. I worked at London Fashion Week, shot actual actors head shots in my portrait module which was amazing! We learnt about how to shoot commercially for look books or e-com, how to make money from my work and how to present my portfolio to the industry professionally.
Mentoring was so usefully after I finished with LCS too. The tutors were the to guide and support me and showed me how set up my business and link in to industry for paid work and test shoots. I am still in touch with the tutors and LCS to this day and more work is unrecognisable from where I started.
