Vaanita Oakey is an established personal and celebrity stylist as well as an accomplished design consultant and couturier.

Over the past 25 years as a London College of Fashion and St Martins graduate Vaanita has contributed to a number of high profile media projects in the field of fashion, music, TV, advertising and editorial campaigns.

With an astute eye for detail, proportion,colour and shape partnered with her creative industry knowledge Vaanita produces solutions beyond fashion styling. This is where her years of education, creative practice and industry knowledge come into play in the form of couture one off pieces for Red Carpet events, Premiers, album covers, photo shoots, film and advertising campaigns. These are often commissioned or created by Vaanita herself and have been featured in Vogue, GQ, Marie Claire, FT How to spend It.

Vaanita has styled a number celebrities including Geri Halliwell, Gabby Logan, Sharon, Ozzy and Kelly Osbourne, to name a few. Vaanita believes in the importance of creating styling solutions which blend with the individuals’ personality, lifestyle and event- making the individual feel and look their best as all times. Her prowess in styling techniques can be seen in the subtle change of Kelly Osbourne’s style when presenting Project Catwalk Season 2 as well as her style for her debut role as Mama Morton in Westend show Chicago.

Vaanita has contributed as a fashion stylist to a number of national and international magazines which include, Danish Cosmo, A4 Mag, Fabulous, ES Mag, Scotsman, Grazia, and Elle.

Of late after completing a PGCE in education Vaanita’s has developed an academic path in sharing her industry knowledge as an associate / guest lecturer at a number of Universities and Colleges including Bath Spa University, Southampton Solent, Portsmouth and Plymouth College of art.

Vaanita continues her practice as a personal celebrity stylist and as a creative director is currently working on a couture collection to be launch in 2017.
