3.   Visas for Studying in the UK

If you do not hold a UK/EU/EEA passport, you will need to obtain a visa that allows you to study here in order to take one of our campus courses. For information please see the Home Office website.

It is your responsibility to determine how far in advance you need to apply for a visa and to allow for enough time to obtain a visa. You will not be permitted to start the campus course if you do not have a visa that allows you to study, and in such instance, will not be eligible for any refund of your campus course fees. We may be able to defer you to a later campus course, though there is no guarantee and will be at the College’s discretion.

Once applicants have received our unconditional acceptance letter and confirmation of a place on the campus course, you will need to send in a scan of your passport and visa to the Admissions team, so we have copies of your documents for our records. On arrival at the London College of Style campus, you will need to present your passport and visa to reception for us to double-check with the scan we have on file.

Please ensure that your place on the campus course is confirmed before making any travel, visa and accommodation arrangements.

4.   Insurance

Non-UK/EEA students are required to have adequate health, accident, disability, and hospitalisation insurance to cover themselves during their time at the College.

Students recognise and accept that no part of the course fee goes toward payment of such insurance and that the College has no obligation to provide such insurance.

5.   Cancellation & Charges

The College reserves the right to cancel any courses prior to commencement at its sole discretion if the number of members enrolled on the course, or other unexpected circumstances might (in the opinion of the College) compromise the standards pursued by the College. The communication of any such cancellation will be given at least two weeks (14 days) before the scheduled commencement of the course without any liability on the part of the College, save that any course fees already paid will be entirely refunded including any deposit paid.

Courses are organised according to the schedules, dates and programmes established by the College’s sole direction from time-to-time. The College reserves the right, at any time, to amend any aspect of the courses as it may deem necessary.

6.   Appeals Procedure for Rejected Applications

The College reserves the right to reject an application if they deem the student is unsuitable for admission on to a particular course. Individuals whose application has been rejected are welcome to appeal by formally writing to the Admissions Team of the College requesting that their application be re-reviewed. A second Admissions Team (consisting of senior academic staff) will then review the application for a second time and come to a decision. Students who have been rejected are permitted to apply for other courses, but they are only permitted to appeal their application for any single course once.

7.   Student Conduct

Students are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner and to recognise that other students also require support and assistance.

If a student becomes disruptive, we reserve the right to issue a verbal or written warning and, if this does not resolve the situation, we may, at our discretion, require the student to leave the course. In such circumstances, no refund of any course fees will be made to such student.

By enrolling on any course offered by the College, students agree to comply fully with the disciplinary rules of the College which are available on request. In addition to compliance with the disciplinary rules of the College, we require that students maintain a good attendance record, a rigorous respect of the schedule of lessons and a responsible attitude towards the College staff and facilities. Failure to adhere fully to these rules may result in disciplinary measures being taken against the offending student.

Students understand that should they have legal or medical problems while they are enrolled at the College, they will attend to the matter personally and with their own funds. They accept that the College will not provide any personal or financial assistance.
